Digitally re-mastered re-issue. Originally released in 1989, 'No Control' is the album that bridged the band's frenetic teenage energy with their more focused later work.
Bad Religion has been stunning the music world by mixing melody, attitude and speed since 1980. In an era where major labels refused to consider American punk groups, Brett Gurewitz formed the incredibly successful Epitaph Records as a medium for their message
Bad Religion's first LP, 1982's 'How Could Hell Be Any Worse', helped define the Southern California punk sound. By 1987, with guitarist Greg Hetson of the iconic Circle Jerks in the fold, Bad Religion crafted the epic 'Suffer', which is often credited for revitalizing the punk movement of the late eighties. The acclaimed albums 89's 'No Control', 90's 'Against The Grain' and 92's 'Generator' followed.
Originally released in 1989, 'No Control' is the album that bridged the band's frenetic teenage energy with their more focused later work. Immediate and unrelenting, neither the invective nor the tempo ever lets up, from "Change of Ideas" through "Automatic Man" and the title track, to "I Want to Conquer the World".
An "archetypal fast punk album" (undoubtedly Bad Religion's fastest!).
