WHAT THE HELL have we got here? The cover shows us three low-riding cholos whose pained expressions might suggest they left their jockeys in the drier too long. Conversely, a little attention to the music reveals an album that's anything but restricted...
Huey, Fast and Steve are the Criminals, but there's no crime in their half-inching of classic LL Cool J basslines and rock riffs from the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Deep Purple, given that they craft them into an album of cool tempo hip hop grooves that'll blow their rivals out of the bank.
The slinky piano tunes like "King of New York" are pure Marvin Gaye and even John Barry & Louis Armstrong's "Her Majesty's Secret Service" is treated to sophisticated street symphonics on the smooth "We Have All The Time In The World". Okay, there may be the odd tune about drug induced bank robberies, but these guys ain't no gangstas and with 'Come Find Yourself', they're packing something much more significant than a rusty 9mm.
