Originally released in 1994, this was Seal's excellent sophomore release - embraced as it was in another pristine production job, courtesy of Trevor Horn.
"Originally released in 1994, this was Seal's excellent sophomore release - embraced as it was in another pristine production job, courtesy of Trevor Horn.
It is similar in many respects to Seal's 1991 debut CD in that it contains many outstanding songs, and first-rate musicianship. However, it is significantly different enough to warrant anyone's attention.
The more AOR styled 'Seal II' featured three lofty singles in 'Don't Cry', 'Newborn Friend', plus the huge hit 'Kiss From a Rose'. It also includes more typical Seal compositions like the opening salvo of tracks, 'Bring it on', 'No Prayer for the Dying', and also magnificent numbers like the uplifting 'I'm Alive'.
'Seal II' is full of poignant songs and comes highly recommend, so check it out!" -MARTY
