This re-issued double disc set from the 1987 / 88 tour contains many 'in concert' highlights - "Shine on You Crazy Diamond", the funky jam session in the middle of "Money", and of course, the classic, "One of These Days".
'Delicate Sound of Thunder' sees Pink Floyd performing "In Concert" during their hugely succsessful 1987 / 88 world tour supporting their comeback album, 'A Momentary Lapse of Reason'.
As a part of said tour, this magnificent band, augmented by a number of session musicians, performed at the 'Western Springs' stadium in Auckland, New Zealand on January 22nd 1988. 60,000 odd souls were thus gladly enlightened!
Now sadly unavailable on the VHS video format, this double CD is worth getting alone, for the brain-wrenching loveliness of David Gilmour's scorching guitar solo at the end of "Comfortably Numb".
There are many other highlights, including a poignant version of the concert opener, "Shine on You Crazy Diamond", the funky jam session in the middle of "Money", and of course, the classic, "One of These Days".
All in all, a fabulous live set - worthy of anyones attention!
