A latecoming rival to Joni Mitchell for the title of Canada's first lady of song, Nova Scotia-born McLachlan was a musical child prodigy who grew up to become the motivating force behind the Lilith Fair all-female concert tours in the US.
Sarah made her first album at 19, but found her own unique voice in 1993 with 'Fumbling Towards Ecstasy', an album whose mature, confessional stance struck chords with a wide-ranging audience. From there, Sarah has gone on to even greater heights with albums such as 'Surfacing', 'Mirrorball' and 'Afterglow'.
