Bluesman, the late Roy Buchanan was one of America's most soulful masters of the electric guitar.
The Buchanan sound is totally unique; heartbreaking, searing solos, trademark shimmering tone, and a mixture of snarls, wails and squeals that mark him as the wizard of the instrument.
Praised by the likes of John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Merle Haggard, Jeff Beck and Robbie Robertson, Buchanan was even invited to join the Rolling Stones!!! Having been signed to major labels Polydor and Atlantic, Roy gave it all up until signing to Alligator in 1985.
Buchanan's musical career took him from underground club gigs, to national television, gold record sales and worldwide tours with the likes of Lonnie Mack, the Allman Bros and many other blues/rock guitar icons. 'Deluxe Edition' is his 13th album for his career, and fourth album for Alligator.
