This is the latest in Chandos' series of digitally remastered important and rare recordings by the Borodin Quartet.

The legendary Borodin Quartet was founded in 1946 by violinist Rostislav Dubinsky. toured extensively and played over 3000 concerts.

As these string quartets are the only ones that Debussy and Ravel wrote, they have assumed the significance definitive statements, pointing the way forward for subsequent generations of French composers.
