This disc features some of Grieg's early and seldom recorded piano works.

The recital includes the recently discovered and rarely recorded Seven Fugues.

Kyoko Tabe enjoys a flourishing career in her native Japan and is fast becoming one of the new generation of international pianists. She is building a successful catalogue of discs on Chandos. Previous releases include solo discs of works by Sibelius and Debussy, and she also appears as soloist in Chandos' recording of Yoshimatsu's piano concerto, 'Memo Flora'.
