"A delightful assembly of small musical wonders."
"Jeno Jando's first volume of Beethoven's Bagatelles and Dances is a delightful assembly of small wonders that begins with the fur Elise and some late aphorisms, them moves into Beethoven's bucolic series of Landler and German Dances and the set of Minuets that includes the very familiar one in G.Jando's performance is, as ever, of a very high order."
- Herald Sun (Raymond Chapman Smith), Oct 1999
"The charming assortment of dances and Bagatelles on this disc puts the more famous work into a fine musical perspective."
- David Hurwitz, Classicstoday.com
Fur Elise is one of the best known melodies in classical music. Though Beethoven wrote some of his great masterpieces for solo piano, including thirty-two sonatas, he was also adept in the art of musical cameos, such as the German Dances, Minuets and Bagatelles, works of considerable charm and elegance. Many were written while still a young man, and remained unpublished in his lifetime.
