This is the story of Darryl Kerrigan (Michael Caton) the Australian with everything: a wife who serves great sponge cake, a son in the slammer, a speed-boat which he washes on his lawn every Saturday, and his home... his Castle.
But suddenly the suburban Shangri-la is threatened. As he dreams of building a patio, developers are planning to bulldoze the neighbourhood. Faced with losing all he holds dear, including his favourite view of the pylons, Kerrigan decides to dig in and fights! Armed only with honesty and the services of Dennis, his cluless solicitor, Melbourne's very own local hero battles all the way to the High Court.
'The Castle' is a spirited debut from director Rob Sitch - this is a movie that proves nice people finish first.
