In Pleasure & Pain, famed rock photographer / director Danny Clinch shows what the millions of Ben Harper fans around the world have come to know and love. Indeed, the film gives intimate insight into the story of Ben Harpers phenomenal life.
Clinch paints a captivating portrait of Harper's life both on the road and off. At the film's emotional core is a scene where Harper and his mother, a singer / songwriter, perform a duet of Bob Dylan's Tomorrow Is A Long Time for the first time.
The 90 minute feature includes songs Please Bleed, Steal My Kisses, The Woman in You, and Power of the Gospel. There ¡s also bonus and hidden material on the DVD from rehearsals and performances from across the globe.
Intimate concert footage from the Claremont Concert (Ben's hometown), bootlegged versions from the Royal Albert Hall in London and the amazing version of 'Strawberry Fields' Ben did for the film 'I am Sam' are bonuses on the DVD. Footage from rehearsals with the Blind Boys of Alabama backing Ben up on 'Give a Man a Home' and 'Shall Not Walk Alone' are powerful moments that add to the emotional range of the DVD.
