mu-sique con-crète (m-zk kn-krt, mü-zk kô-krt) n. Electronic music composed of instrumental and natural sounds often altered or distorted in the recording process. This dictionary description for a particular form of music ('musique concrete') is apt to describe the contents of the 'Inaccuracies & Omissions' album.
From recordings that capture the gloriously anarchic sounds of plastic rakes scraping metal cans etc off your average, low-rent stadium seating to the ticking of a gold watch. From the indirect sampling of another artist's minimalist piece (at a highly accelerated rate) to the drum track from a Tall Dwarfs recording, this recording is at turns perplexing, relaxing or downright frustrating and bears no resemblance to the original source material.
It provides instant relief from the cookie-cutter sounds emanating from the radio these days and it sure as heck will keep your neighbours confused - they'll think there's a war on.
