Founded in 1978, the Amsterdam Loeki Stardust Quartet has continually explored the boundaries of the recorder consort. With their latest recording, Fugue Around The Clock they also explore the incontrovertible truth that the fugue has given us some of the greatest music in history.

The Latin word 'fuga' is derived from both 'fugere' (to flee) and 'fugare' (to chase). It is a form that tests a composer's technical skill, his dramatic skill, his invention and his subtlety. Combine this with the technical, dramatic, subtle and inventive musicality of the
recorder players Daniël Brüggen, Bertho Driever, Karel van Steenhoven and newest member Daniel Koschitzki, and you will listen to this cd for hours and hours....
