Since 1997, Boston's quintessential Irish-influenced punk-pop band, the Dropkick Murphys, have put out five incredibly successful albums and have amassed hundreds thousands of fans around the globe from their legendary live performances.
Dropkick Murphys broke the house record for attendance at The Avalon in Boston previously held by The Ramones and have built up a huge following in NZ after their unforgettable performances in 2002 at The Kings Arms & Youthzone.
'Blackout', the new studio album from the Dropkick Murphys, conveys the most youthful sound to date from the Dropkick's, even though they continue to draw on Celtic influences, (with bagpipes, accordion, mandolin and tin whistles in their arsenal) there's a palpable youthful energy to the new songs.
