'A fine snapshot of a much-loved soprano in some of her most celebrated roles.'
(Gramophone)

This is the second disc from Yvonne Kenny in Chandos' Great Operatic Arias series.

The first disc proved popular with critics and the public alike.

Some of the roles for which Yvonne Kenny is most renowned are represented here, including the Countess in Richard Strauss's Capriccio, Armida in Handel's Rinaldo, some of the Mozart roles which originally won her recognition during her early years at Covent Garden, as well as some lighter operetta arias.

This is the latest issue on Chandos' acclaimed Opera in English label, released at a special price.

REVIEWS
Yvonne Kenny's first recital CD received fine reviews

'…the Australian soprano is in fine voice throughout, with the clearest English diction… a smooth legato and ringing top notes. She is touching in Puccini's 'O my beloved father'…, ideally tender in Mozart's 'Gentle Zephyrs' and the Pearl Fishers aria, and completely convincing in 'I attempt from love's sickness to fly'…'
