The album features songs from every phase of Counting Crow's ten-year recording career. Also included, two new tracks, "She Don't Want Nobody Near" and a sensational cover of the Grateful Dead classic "Friend of the Devil". Both were produced by Brendan O'Brien (Limp Bizkit, Pearl Jam, Korn, and Bruce Springsteen's recent hit album, "The Rising").
Over the last two years, Counting Crows have toured the world, breaking new markets and attendance records alike. "Hard Candy," their previous studio album, has sold over 1.3 million worldwide. The band's cover of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi" was a Top 10 hit earlier this year. Counting Crows debuted in 1993 with "August and Everything." Subsequent albums include "Recovering the Satellites" (1996); "Across A Wire: Live in NY" (1998); and "This Desert Life" (1999). Altogether, Counting Crows has sold more than 18 million albums worldwide
