Their second album 'A Present For Everyone' is a musical tour de force, that thrills and surprises at every turn
Busted's second album 'A Present For Everyone' is a musical tour de force, that thrills and surprises at every turn cementing their reputation as one of pop's most innovative chart acts. Fans of 'What I Go To School For' and 'Year 3000' will find that songs like 'Air Hostess' and 'She Wants To Be Me' catch Busted being funnier, more infectious and more buoyant than ever before, while those with leanings towards 'Without You' and the more dramatic moments on the boys' first album will have their hearts beaten to a pulp once again by classic, world-class songs like '3am' and 'Why'.
These two sides give Busted at least twice the depth and dimension of your average pop group, but then Busted have never been your average pop group. Since the release of 'What I Go To School For' they've stated quite plainly, and through their own work, that music needn't be throwaway and meaningless to be classified as pop. They know that pop is an artform in its own right, and that the music itself should never be an afterthought chucked into the equation after the haircuts and the photo shoots. In a world where most chart acts ask no more than 'Will this do?', Busted are a true alternative.
