A unique blend of punk rock energy, melodic riffs and self-deprecating charm, Green Day's early indie EPs are back in a re-mastered deluxe edition with bonus enhanced material.
Green Day is one of the most popular punk bands around today with millions of fans worldwide.
This album is a compilation of the early indie EPs (1989's '1000 Hours' EP, 1990's 'Slappy' EP, and 1990's '39/Smooth' LP). Recorded on shoestring budgets, these EPs were a strong indicator of things to come for Green Day. This was the world's first glimpse of Green Day's unique blend of punk rock energy, melodic riffs and self-deprecating charm.
This new version of '1039 / Smoothed Out Slappy Hours' has been re-mastered from the original tapes by Bernie Grundman. This historic album sounds better than ever.
This new re-issue features enhanced material - more than 20 minutes of live video performance from 1990-1991, a live radio performance and interview from 1991, plus vintage photos, handwritten lyrics, and flyer art.
