[ Decca Phrase Four / CD ]
Release Date: Tuesday 20 July 2004
Decca's PHASE 4 recordings are an important part of the legacy of the company and during this 75th anniversary year it is the perfect opportunity to revisit a selection of these justly famous recordings.
In addition to sensational recordings of Classical repertory with legendary artists such as Leopold Stokowski and Antal Dorati, several masters of the light music genre made many recordings which were originally released on PHASE 4. Names that immediately come to mind include Edmundo Ros, Ronnie Aldrich, Frank Chacksfield, Stanley Black, Ethel Merman, Paco Peña … to name but a few.
These releases will feature two complete original LP albums wherever possible and the original LP covers are used as part of the stylish digi-pack presentation - with one LP cover featured on the front and one on the back of the packaging.
Sit back and indulge yourself in a trip down memory lane
