Bungalow

'Bungalow' is the solo debut album from Charles Jenkins, best known as lead singer for Australian guitar-pop icons, the Icecream Hands and as one of Australia's foremost songwriters. Quieter and more personal than any of his previous work, 'Bungalow' is a collection of songs written and recorded over the past year, during his solo tours of the UK, Spain and France.

Described as a "Sunday morning" record, this more introspective work is somewhat of a departure for Jenkins, who has fronted the Icecream Hands for ten years. Four albums in and that group have ARIA nominations and a reputation as one of Oz's best-loved underground indie groups. His solo work though, is gaining plaudits for it's uncluttered arrangements and intelligent lyrical themes.

This is refreshingly honest and touching music from a man at the height of his songwriting abilities.
