Straight outta Compton, again - the next generation Nigga With Attitude is wunderkid hip hop artist The Game.

The Game is from the birthplace of Gangsta rap: Compton, CA. But this is a new, different Westside story, one that joins with the Eastside while paying respects to rap's hardcore pioneers of the '80s, NWA. A former gangmember who turned to rap after being shot five times and left for dead, The Game is about peace, not war.

While his Aftermath debut 'The Documentary' featured everyone from Dr Dre and 50 Cent to Nate Dogg, Kanye West and Just Blaze, it was in fact 'Untold Story' which caught Dre's ear and resulted in The Game's major label signing.

The former hustler's brutal, precise rhymes captured the attention of many, including impresario JT tha Bigga Figga, who signed to produce The Game's debut. Despite a falling out between the two whilst recording, 'Untold Story' accurately conveys The Game's full hip hop prowess which stirred up such excitement in the West Coast rap scene.

His confidence is overwhelming as he declares himself the best rapper since Tupac's demise. Fortunately, his rhymes back up his swagger: his style is not complex or ornate but, like Tupac, he gets his point across concisely and unquestionably.
