During the last decade Russian-born conductor Yakov Kreizberg has established a superb international reputation in the opera house and on the concert podium. Born in St Petersburg, Yakov Kreizberg studied conducting with Ilya Musin before emigrating to the United States in 1976. There he was awarded conducting fellowships at Tanglewood with Bernstein, Ozawa and Leinsdorf, and at the Los Angeles Philharmonic with Michael Tilson Thomas.
