In 2002 Sally recorded some songs in LA with Jake David (Madonna, Bjork.) But instead of continuing to make an album with him, she decided to set up her own home studio, and write, arrange and produce an album by herself. So now we present the rather weird and wonderful 'The Last Beautiful Day', her highly anticipated debut album.
The album features special guest appearances by Beth Orton on backing vocals and Jim White (Dirty Three) on drums.
Released in Australia in 2004 'The Last Beautiful Day' received some outstanding critical reviews and featured in Rolling Stone magazine's Top 50 albums of the year. Sally Saltmann truly put herself on the Australian indie musical map with this record.
