Following his acclaimed Decca debut album, Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja explores two central themes of his stage repertoire with this glorious disc of Italian and French arias, including popular favourites as well as many forgotten jewels from both the French and Italian operatic traditions.

The Golden Voice is as much a tribute to a great tradition of beautiful singing as it is to Joseph Calleja's glorious voice and unique vocal character .
In addition it includes a duet with Russian soprano star Anna Netrebko.

The Academy of St.Martin in the Fields is conducted by distinguished opera conductor Carlo Rizzi. Includes arias from Joseph Calleja's stage repertoire including favourites from Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, Bellini's I Puritani & La Sonnambula and Gounod's Romeo et Juliette.
