Exciting performances by violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann, was also plays a duet with himself (in the sonata for 2 violins). He is accompanied by the Berliner Philharmoniker under Lorin Maazel and the Philharmonia Orchestra under Mariss Jansons. The piano parts are played by Alexander Lonquich.
