Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are a five piece consisting of Philadelphian songwriter Alec Ounsworth (vocals/guitar), Lee Sargent (guitar/keyboards), his brother Tyler (bass), Robbie Guertin (guitar/keyboards) and Sean Greenhalgh (drums).
CYHSY live shows generated an astonishing word of mouth that led to internet based sales of over 25,000 copies of their self-titled debut album that they packed and posted from their front rooms. Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA) then stepped in and agreed to distribute the album in shops across North America, the second time ever that the company has worked directly with an unsigned band. Make no mistake, CYHSY are on the hottest bands on the planet at the moment.
