Three versions exist of the Fourth Symphony in the composer's own hand: but it was his own final version that Bruckner regarded as valid - the revision of 1878 with the 1880 finale. This is the score recorded live, here, by Philippe Herreweghe and his Orchestre des Champs-Elysées, originally released in May 2006.
