Billy Preston is the well known keyboard player who made his name on the international scene through his close association with the Beatles and recording for the Apple label.
Prior to all this, Preston had already made a name for himself as a very fine piano and Hammond organ player on a number of soul / jazz / r&b albums in the USA.
Following tours to the UK with the likes of Little Richard and Sam Cooke, Preston's own singles starting becoming turntable faves at the Mod clubs - such as "Billy's Bag" and "The Midnight Hour".
