This sophomore album marks the mighty return of the charttopping synth-rockers The Killers. 'Sam's Town' has a more American sound than the phenomenal 'Hot Fuss' - which went on to sell over 5 million worldwide!
Named after a casino in their hometown of Las Vegas, 'Sam's Town' marks the mighty return of the charttopping synth-rockers The Killers. Having conquered the charts the world over with their debut 'Hot Fuss', the band have given us a taster of their eagerly anticipated follow up with the first single, "When You Were Young", which draws influences from Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, amongst others, for a more American sounding sophomore album.
'Sam's Town' was recorded in the new Palm Studios in the Killers' hometown of Las Vegas, with venerable British producers Flood (Mark Ellis) and [Alan] Moulder. It marks a reunion of the duo who first came to prominence as the producers of Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. 'Sam's Town' follows-up the phenomenal 'Hot Fuss' - which went on to sell over 5 million worldwide!
