As one of the most innovative rap artists in NZ and the man at the forefront of the local underground movement, Cyphanetik has opened the doors for an entirely new wave of conscious, intelligent, and thought provoking local hip hop.

From the infamous Bee Dub Studios comes Breakin Wreckwordz' most anticipated release yet, Cyphanetik's debut album 'Commercial Suicide'. As one of the most innovative rap artists in New Zealand and the man at the forefront of the local underground hip hop movement, Cyphanetik and his label Breakin Wreckwordz, have opened the doors for an entirely new wave of conscious, intelligent, and thought provoking local hip hop.

'Commercial Suicide' features NZ's most recent streak of hard hitting MCs - Mareko, Red Eye Society, Usual Suspects, Ethical and Louie Knuxx, singstar Maia Rata, long time Breakin Wreckwordz affiliates Tyna & JB and resident Tyson Tyler. It also includes production from their own enigmatic Exile and dynamite efforts from Nate D, Shadow Squad and Leus Fondu.

On 'Commercial Suicide' Cyphanetik takes us on a personal journey with his trademark ballsy attitude. "Testing The Waters” tells us quite clearly he makes music for adults not children, on the first single "Blaze Em” Cyphanetik talks about his three favorite pastimes, in "Rollin With Punches” (the second single), he speaks about betrayal, "Leave Me Alone” is a candid view of Jared Abbott, the man behind the music and "Without You” his version of a love song, is a pretty portrayal of his humor.
• Cyphanetik (a.k.a. Jared Abbott) is considered one of the most energetic performers in the game. In 2003 he was selected in the New Zealand MC for Supremacy Battle team to represent New Zealand in Australia. In 2004, he took it one step further and took home the NZ Battle for Supremacy title, defeating NZ's finest freestyle MC's. Cyphanetik has supported the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Busta Rhymes, Atmosphere and Brother Ali, Sage Francis and others.
