Purveying a beautifully realised and deftly accomplished, soulful and gospel infused, folk / blues, Eric has no problem melding a traditional rootsy American style with a subtle contemporary sensibility.

Guitarist Eric Bibb has spent more than three decades developing a reputation as one of the finest folk / blues balladeers of his generation. In that time, he has inspired audiences and listeners on either side of the Atlantic with music that is more than just entertainment. Amid the compelling melodies, masterful acoustic guitar work and stirring lyrings is an unmistakably spiritual element that enriches the lives of every person Bibb's music touches.

'Diamond Days' represents a return to the more rootsy style of Bibb's early albums. With an impressive line-up of musicians including Martin Simpson, one of Britain's leading contemporary folk artist on acoustic guitar, Bibb keeps the overall sound very simple, enabling him to bring out his own astonishing musicianship, on the acoustic 12 string guitar, and focussing on the moving, meaningful lyrics.

Eric makes his strongest, yet most personal statement to date with 'Diamond Days'. This is an album to read as much as listen to. It is a journey into and through this unique artist. No other compilation of songs gives you a greater insight into the workings of the wonderful Mr Bibb - from the glorious, moving personal crossroad of "Heading Home", to the loving humility in the tribute to those who formed his music, "Still Livin' On", through the upbeat celebration of life that is "Shine On". The album also includes a live recording of "In My Father's House" featuring Eric's long-time recording and touring partner Dave Bronze (Eric Clapton Band).

'Diamond Days' was released in 2006 and has become the biggest selling album of Eric's lengthy career, receiving universal critical acclaim. The album entered both Australian (National) and US charts (Blues). Eric was nominated for "Acoustic Artist of the Year" in the 2008 Blues Music Awards.

A performance by Eric Bibb is an enriching experience - both musically and spiritually. Purveying a beautifully realised and deftly accomplished, soulful and gospel infused, folk / blues, Eric has no problem melding a traditional rootsy American style with a subtle contemporary sensibility. As one critic wrote " Eric's singing and versatile guitar playing fuses a variety of genres to become a New World Blues."

"Eric is one of the new, young singers that has appeared on the scene that, much to my delight, has a great voice, is an excellent performer and has a great knowledge about the roots of this music."
