Tommy's second studio album is a feel good collection of sounds, as lucid instrumentals effortlessly float alongside downbeat fused with dub and reggae. The lyrics range from political human consciousness to life's simple pleasures.
Tommy's second studio album through Loop Recordings 'Tomorrow I Might Go' is a feel good collection of sounds, as lucid instrumentals effortlessly float alongside downbeat fused with dub and reggae. The lyrics range from political human consciousness to life's simple pleasures - spending time with family and friends.
'Tomorrow I Might Go' was recorded in the band's make-shift recording studio at Bethell's Beach, west of Auckland. This album isn't dissimilar to the group's 2004 debut '4000 Years', and fans won't be disappointed. The album brings together the Tommy sounds and moods of reggae, rock, soul and downbeat to sit comfortably amongst the greats of the adult contemporary world.
The album title is a clue to the possibility that the band may be gone in the near future. After hearing Tommy's sophomore offering, let's all hope that tomorrow never comes.
