Crowded House have re-formed and are back in 2007 with 'Time on Earth' - the group's first new studio album in 14 years!
Founding members Neil Finn and Nick Seymour are joined by previous keyboard player, Mark Hart and new drummer Matt Sherrod. Sadly the original Crowdies drummer, Paul Hester passed away in 2005 - 'Time on Earth' is dedicated to his memory.
Recorded at Roundhead Studios, Auckland, at RAK Studios, London, and at Real World Studios, Wiltshire, the album was produced by Ethan Johns and Steve Lillywhite. 'Time on Earth' features 14 new original compositions (that's one song per year that they have been away), plus guest appearances by Johnny Marr and Dixie Chicks.
"…echoes the brilliance of their classics."

"… unmistakably a Crowded House album."
- Observer (4/5)
"It doesn't sound like any one particular Crowded House album, but it has elements of Crowded House... in as much as Nick and I make a sound together when we play and always did. I think there's a lot of heart and spirit in the album which is connected with the loss of our dear friend Paul but also an attempt to try and make sense of it and move forward. And as such, it seemed the most obvious and best way to do that was to be playing music again with each other, Nick and I. I want to be in a band and what other band could it be."
