Punk legend Tim Armstrong brings us his long awaited debut solo album 'A Poets Life'.

Backed by The Aggrolites, a notorious punk/ska/reggae act from Armstrong's own Hellcat stable, 'A Poets Life' showcases the passion for punk, reggae and ska that has infused Armstrong's music from his earliest work with Operation Ivy through to The Transplants and to his most recent Rancid album. 'A Poets Life' is loose, punky, infectious and shamelessly danceable.

Armstrong approached his solo debut CD in complete DIY fashion by recording and producing 'A Poets Life' entirely by himself. "We put one mic on the drums and everything was played live, keeping it real raw.” Tim explains.

The bonus DVD features the music videos for all 10 tracks and a cool featurette on the making of the album and videos.

The first single "Into Action” features a mod dance groove, a horn chant Motown would be proud of, and the alluring co-vocals of Skye Sweetnam.
