One of the definitive American hardcore groups who garner the same respect as the Sex Pistols, Black Flag, The Clash and the Ramones, Bad Brains are one of the most powerful & unique bands in the world.

Back in the day, Bad Brains brought a new dimension to music by melding punk & reggae into an innovative style that has yet to be copied... And, one listen to 'Build a Nation' will assure you these old hands have lost none of their power or energy!

'Build a Nation' is the group's first album in five years and it blends a potent mix of speed, wicked riffs & HR's unique vocals into a full-frontal assault. But, that's not all, as it features a number of mellow dub / reggae tracks too; built on a rich brew of textured rhythms & sounds. The album was produced by Adam Yauch (MCA of the Beastie Boys) and recorded with a bunch of old analogue equipment. It is the first recording - aside from the Beastie's own material, from their Oscilloscope Laboratories.
