'Songs In A Minor' is the debut album from the wonderfully talented Alicia Keys - featuring the singles "Fallin'", "Girlfriend", "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore", and "A Woman's Worth".
Born and raised in Manhattan, she showed an early talent for the piano and began to write music from the age of 13. In 1998 Alicia caught the attention of industry legend Clive Davis, then president of Arista Records. Keys joined Clive Davis at the age of 18 and began writing, producing and recording her first album. In late 1999, Alicia followed Davis to his new label J Records and put the finishing touches on what is now her debut album, 'Songs in A Minor'. The rest, as they say, is history.
'Songs in A Minor' features the singles "Fallin'", "Girlfriend", "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore", and "A Woman's Worth". It held the US #1 album chart position for 4 weeks and was certified double platinum.
