Issue number one in the third series of the famed A Low Hum zines features 13 tracks by some of New Zealand's best local talent (and one extemely talented American band called Deerhoof!) and includes a bonus CD of the now defunct Auckland band 'Xanadu'. With tracks from 'Die! Die! Die!', 'Yokel Ono'. and 'The Vacants' this is a fantastic document of some amazing underground music from a particular time and place, while most of these bands have moved on to bigger things or fallen by the wayside the music still stands as a testament to the creative and uncompromising ambition of these local artists (as well as a testament to the drive and passion of Blink who runs A Low Hum).
