Funk This

Chaka Khan returns with a brand new album 'Funk This', showcasing some of her most powerful vocals and most compelling songs in quite some time. In perfect form, Chaka has recorded both new material and covers of some tracks that are near and dear to her heart.

Produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the album is a funk record that takes us back to Chaka's roots, with much of the feel and instrumentation used in her Rufus days. In fact, original Rufus member / guitarist Tony Maiden is featured on several tracks. Other guest artists include Michael McDonald and Mary J. Blige.

Standout tracks include "Disrespect" (a Power-Duet with Mary J. Blige), "Foolish Fool" (a remake of the 1969 R&B hit by Dee Dee Warwick), and "Sign of the Times" (a cover of the Prince classic).
