Sawdust

Multi-platinum Island Records group, The Killers have been hard at work collecting B-sides, rarities & one-off sides for this compilation album, entitled 'Sawdust'. The band were hunkered down at a recording studio in New York's Hell's Kitchen, completing the album with Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer Lou Reed. Brandon Flowers told Billboard.com, "We have a lot of B-sides, and we wanted to stick them on something for people to get to have them all together."

Featured tracks include: "All the Pretty Faces" (which was the B-side of "When You Were Young"); two movie soundtrack tunes, "Shadowplay" (a Joy Division cover, from 'Control', Anton Corbijn's biopic of Ian Curtis) and "Move Away" (from 'Spiderman 3'); as well as a cover of Kenny Rogers & the First Edition's "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town" (written by Mel Tillis). 'Sawdust' also contains songs which weren't completed in time for 'Sam's Town' - The Killers recently went back into the studio to finish the tracks.
