Recorded live at Klooks Kleek Club, on October 15, 1964. Hear why the GBO were so highly regarded - this recording is a "must have," an electrifying document of a sexy time when R&B, and Blues happily flirted with Jazz.

Like his contemporary, Alexis Korner, Graham Bond is one of the unsung heroes of the sixties R&B scene. Both directed groups that incubated talent which would later mature and eclipse their own groundbreaking efforts. The Graham Bond Organization is renowned for half its membership being Jack Bruce (bass, harmonica and vocals) and Ginger Baker (drums), both soon to unite with Eric Clapton and create the supergroup Cream. Dick Heckstall-Smith was a superb Blues/Jazz saxophonist and later, with Jon Hiseman, an integral part of Colosseum, after having passed through John Mayall's Bluebreakers.

Graham Bond's importance as a key figure in the development of Rock music is annotated at length in numerous books. But there can be no substitute for hearing his legendary Organisation for yourself! The stunning power of the band, compared to other groups of the time, is in aural evidence on this album. Whether or not you are a fan of early British R & B, to truly understand the roots of modern Rock, and hear why the Graham Bond Organisation were so highly regarded at the time, this recording is a "must have," an electrifying document of a sexy time when R&B, and Blues happily flirted with Jazz.
