Mention The Black Crowes to many music fans and you will get a jaw-dropping response! They have sold over 20 million albums worldwide and are known as one of the best live acts in all of rock. Moreover, they have been called "The Most Rock 'n' Roll Rock n' Roll Band in the World", which is a pretty grand statement to make, but in the case of The Black Crowes it is one that is well deserved.

From the beginning, The Black Crowes have done things their own way... 'Warpaint', the group's first recording of all-new studio material in seven years, shows once again that these guys take no prisoners! Front man, Chris Robinson says the title of the album signifies "The revolution that could take place in all our souls."

Produced and mixed by Paul Stacey, 'Warpaint' features 11 songs, all of which were written by Chris and Rich Robinson, except "God's Got It" which was penned by the Reverend Charlie Jackson. For this new incarnation of The Black Crowes, two new band members - guitarist Luther Dickinson (of the North Mississippi Allstars) & keyboardist Adam MacDougall - join Chris, Rich, drummer Steve Gorman and bassist Sven Pipien.
