Victor Stanley Feldman. Born London on April 7, 1934. Started (on drums) at age of six and made first professional appearance at age seven at the famous No. 1 Rhythm Club.
His trio featured brothers Bob (clarinet) and Monty (accordion). Was known as "Kid Krupa", and appeared as guest star with the late Major Glenn Miller's Band of the A.E.F. In 1947 he had a featured spot in the Sid Field show "Piccadilly Hayride" at the Prince of Wales theatre. Made his debut on vibes with pianist Ralph Sharon's Sextet. Then came a spell with Roy Fox. He toured India with Eddie Carroll and Harry Parry. On his return to England in 1953, joined the famous Ronnie Scott Orchestra. Went to America in September, '55, after numerous Tempo record dates, and joined Woody Herman. Has recorded with Woody for Capitol and under his own name for Keynote (with Hank Jones, Bill Crow, Joe Morello and Kenny Clarke).
