Iva Lamkum is an outstanding 22-year-old Wellington singer / songwriter, who drops pure street-soul in a rootsy, richly soulful and unique voice --penning lyrics and finding melodies that match her soulful sounds, beliefs and original sense of fashion.
Born a Kiwi, Iva has NZ, Samoan and Chinese blood running through her veins. She has become an integral part of the Welli music scene in the past few years and has played with some of the cities finest musicians. Iva appeared on Nuclear Free Nation with Benny Tones, and is working with Sola Rosa on a track for his eagerly awaited new album.
'08 though, is her time '- the 'Iva Lamkum' EP is her debut release and is produced by indie Welli label Base Promotions.
