Lisa Bassenge is a young singer with a personal vision to bring jazz singing into the new century, using new ways of expression. She has built a solid following in Berlin. Her repertoire ranges from Duke Ellington to Madonna.
'A Little Loving' is her fourth album (previous releases include 'Going Home' - 2001, 'A Sigh A Song' - 2002, 'Three' 2004) and was released in August 06 in Europe. The album is now available in New Zealand for the first time.
'A Little Loving' is immensely seductive, featuring well known covers from the likes of The Sugababes "Overload", and The Cure's "In Between Days", along with originals from Bassenge and her band. It's all a little bit loungy, a little bit jazzy, and all very late-night listenable!
