Chandos Records celebrates its thirtieth anniversary in 2009. Founded by Brian Couzens, Chandos quickly established itself as one of the world's leading classical labels. To celebrate thirty years in the classical recording world, Chandos has released a limited edition thirty-disc set featuring highlights of the company's recording history.

Each CD will be packaged in a CD wallet featuring the original artwork, and the 2009 Chandos catalogue will be included within each set.

Reviews:
'Yan Pascal Tortelier's performance is the one to get.. The whole disc is charged with his missionary zeal, and the BBC Philharmonic plays wonderfully for him.'
The Guardian on 'Faust et Hélène'

'Luxuriant textures, sumptuous harmonies, mouth-watering melodies, all beautifully conveyed with ravishing choral tone; this is a simply gorgeous disc.'
International Record Review on the Grechaninov

"The recordings are well up to the house standard."
*** Three stars (Penguin Stereo Guide on the Chandos Anthems)

'Gramophone Awards 2003 best choral recording recording'
Gramophone on the Hummel Mass

'While her [Mordkovitch] First is magisterial, the revelation is the under-rated Second, here shining as no other version.'
Gramophone on the Shostakovich Violin Concerto

'With its quasi-operatic characterisations and dramatic retelling of the story of Richard Grenville's heroic battle against the Spanish fleet in 1591, however, it's easy to see why The Revenge was such a huge success across Britain after its first performance in 1886. Stanford's orchestration is deft too, even though it is short on memorable invention when heard alongside the two song-cycles. They are the real reason to buy the disc.'
The Guardian on the Stanford

'I remember Brian Couzens, Chandos' founder and main producer, telling me how he received a cassette of Jansons and the Oslo Phil playing Tchaikovsky and his immediate offer to record them. Well, here's the result and mightily impressive too - taut, passionate and very well played… a slice of recording history in its own right.'
Gramophone on the Tchaikovsky

'…one of the best Fifths I have heard. The recording is state-of-the-art.'
Classic FM on Vaughan Williams Symphony No. 5

'Rumon Gamba secures exemplary results from his assembled forces… and the recording is spectacularly truthful to match. Im already impatiently awaiting Volume 2.'
Gramophone on Vaughan Williams Film Music

'This disc is pure joy...Craig Ogden...has always chosen his recital programmes with wisdom, and, as a performer in the specialised realm of the classical guitar, he has opened our ears to the instruments breadth of repertory and to its expressive potential.'
The Daily Telegraph on Captain Corelli's Mandolin
