Alan Broadbent, Frank Gibson and Putter Smith are three of New Zealands best jazz men who've all had hugely important careers, playing with a multitude of greats, ranging from Chet Baker, John Scofield, and Errol Garner to Natalie Cole, Dusty Springfield, Rick Wakeman and Burt Bacharach.
'Together Again' is an album of originals such as "Sonny's Step", "Continuity", and "This One's For Bud", intermingled with a handful of standards such as Charlie Parker's "Relaxin' at Camarillo", Lee Morgan's "Ceora", and Sonny Reed's "Teef".
Frank Gibson hatched this project several years ago when he wanted to get together with his long time cohorts on a trip to the West Coast of America.
