"The recording is crystal clear and has some great dynamics, especially on the percussion and heavy brass. Anima Eterna is probably the most interesting and significant orchestra recording at the moment."

"All the works on this disc are monumental and richly orchestrated, with a dense texture and a big orchestral sound. Which is why this is such an ambitious project for a period instrument orchestra - finding the array of instruments (and musicians) suitable for this recording must have been a huge job in itself.
This disc is excellent, and Anima Eterna are the only period instrument (late 19th century) orchestra with a significant programme for recording late romantic repertoire. The recording is crystal clear and has some great dynamics, especially on the percussion and heavy brass. The string section is smaller than a modern orchestra and uses little vibrato, which helps contribute to the uniquely transparent sound. Anima Eterna is probably the most interesting and significant orchestra recording at the moment."
