This release presents Ellington's 1971 performance in Warsaw for the first time in CD. The program was typical of Duke, including new tunes as well as all-time favourites, and ending with a marvellous duet by Duke and bassist Joe Benjamin on Billy Strayhorn's Lotus Blossom.
As a bonus, a 1958 live set by the Duke at an Air Force dance date. With the exception of Blues in Orbit and Caravan, all of these tunes also appear here on CD for the first time ever.
