Under Milk Wood is a famous play for radio by writer and poet Dylan Thomas, later adapted for the stage. Completed just before his death in 1953, this work gives full expression to Thomas' sense of the magnificent flavour and variety of life, as a moving and hilarious account of a spring day in a small Welsh coastal town. Thomas' public readings, particularly in the US, won him great acclaim; his sonorous voice and subtle Welsh lilt became almost as famous as his works.
This 2CD set features Thomas himself reading Under Milk Wood, with the original New York cast.
