Between 1997 and 2007, Koop built their global reputation as the kings of swing, rebooting the coolest jazz sounds of yesterday using modern studio and sampling technology. Featuring the cream of their first three albums, 'Coup de Grâce' is an expertly mixed cocktail of past, present and future. Each of these albums was a chic and stylish statement in its own right. On all three, Oscar Simonsson and Magnus Zingmark worked with a glittering array of guest vocalists from inside and outside Scandinavia including Yukimi Nagano, Ane Brun, Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen and the legendary Earl Zinger. In between, they remixed a range of art-pop legends, including Yoko Ono and Astrud Gilberto. "Coup de Grâce" proves that Koop are still the sultans of swing with their suave, stylish, post-modern jazz-pop.
